Plaid Beauty is a leading-edge tool for producing top-quality fabric simulations. It's so easy to design plaid and striped fabrics with Plaid Beauty. It can simulate almost any weave you can conceive.

Warp and Weft

Start creating your weave by entering repeat data for your warp and weft. Every number is paired with a yarn color letter. You can use brackets to indicate a color repeat within another repeat. Example: 2(3A4B) means two times 3 yarns of color A and 4 yarns of color B. Repeat the number, along with the thickness of warp and weft yarn, to determine final image size.

Colors

The color toolbox lets you select up to eight warp and weft colors. Just click to select a new yarn color. You can even select transparent color. It's easy to copy colors from weft to warp or warp to weft.

Weave

The weave toolbox lets you load an existing weave, or you can create a new weave of up to 10 by 10 for virtually any type of fabric. Creating your own weave is as easy as point-and-click.

Save Your Work

Save your finished work in many formats, i.e. BMP, JPEG, TIFF. Save the settings for later retrieval. Load the existing weave to quickly bring your simulation back into work.
