Introduction
Welcome to eBay Profit Calculator (EPC)! EPC is a simple calculator helps you calculate your profit on eBay. There are three steps to do in order to figure out the profit. The first step is to enter the auctions you listed during a period of time. This information will help EPC figure out your eBay Insertion Fee. The second step will ask you to enter the auctions that were sold. EPC use this information to calculate eBay Final Value Fee and the Paypal online payment fee. Unfortunately, there are more expenses involved other than Insertion Fee and Final Value Fee. The third step help you enter the other related expenses you may encounter when you selling on eBay. In addition to these three steps, you can also enter the time you have spent for those auctions. The time information is then used to calculate your hourly wage. This hourly rate is very important because a lot of sellers just see the money they made and forgot about the amount of time they spent on making that money. Time is money.
A quick advice before you get start, you should set a period of time as a time window. Some of the examples could be a month, or a week. The auctions listed, the auctions sold, and the time spent should all in this time window.

In this first step, you will need to enter the auctions you have listed on eBay during a time window. Enter the number of auctions you have listed for each price range. For example, if you listed 20 auctions starting at $0.99, then you should enter 20 in the first box. And if you listed 30 auctions starting at $4.99, then you should enter 30 in the second box. If you have any questions about eBay Insertion Fee, please refer to eBay Fees Overview page for detail.
Step 2: Final Value Fee and Paypal Fee back to top
In this step, EPC will to figure out the Final Value Fee for you. In order for it to do so, you need to group your auctions sold into different Product Lines based on the product and the final price. For example, you sell printers on eBay. You sold 5 printers for the final price ranging from $30 to $34. So you need to enter "Printer" in Product Line, enter "$32" in Final Price, enter "5" in Qty column. And then click on Add button to add this product line. Let's say you also sold 10 the same printer with Buy It Now. Each of them sold for $40. Then you need to enter "Printer BIN" in the Product Line, "$40" in Final Price, "10" in Qty. This will add another product line for you.
The "Avg Cost Per Item" is the cost of each product, such as the invoice price of each product. The "Shipping Charge Per Item" is the shipping fee you charge your customer for shipping the item to them. The "Actual Shipping Cost Per Item" is the actual shipping cost for each item. Most of the buyers on eBay use Paypal. But, not all of them do. So, enter the percentage of the customers paid using Paypal.
